He wore his hood over his head, his eyes completely veiled by the fabric. The cookie pouch bounced with his steps, the tip of his bowstaff connecting with flagstone as he walked. His weapons remained stationary, tied under the cloak, so as to not alert anyone to their presence. He leans heavily on the staff, taking a gauging of his surroundings, the smells of the fishing docks and the spices from the Market commingling in his nostrils. He remains quiet, looking at the town, waving on occasion to those who waved to him. His eyes move to the water, and the forest beyond, seeing a group of soldiers standing there. He looks again, seeing no beast, his shoulders shrugging. "Whats done is done." He says, more to himself than anyone else, looking around himself once more. The aura of peace and serenity he carried, spread to those townfolk left in the square, the last vestiges of fear draining away from them. All was calm, and peaceful once more, as he noticed the bakery across the way. A grin cracks his face, his hand undoing the leather clasp on his cookie pouch, the only sound he carried, the steady tap tapping of his staff. He kept an eye on the populace, breathing in the scents of the pastries for a moment, his eyes sharp for any in need of aid or succor

Kara: stands off away from the activity watching everything very closely her cloak hiding her appearance from prying eyes. her pointed ears twitch at the slightest sounds then she turns her head as she catches the strange sound of tapping she hones her hearing in on the source and turns her head and watches a male covered in a cloak walking with a staff. seeing as things seem peaceful she turns to check on her sister Lucia noticing how she was staring out at the harbor her heart clenching at the thought of losing her sister to the sailor they met a few months back she turns back watching the stranger as he walks toward the bakery, she tugs on her sisters sleeve and motions for her to follow. both sneak back into the alley way and climb up onto the roofs to get a better vantage point to watch the goings on in the square

Geoff leans against his staff for a second, licking his lips, the smell of the pastries filling his nostrils, using the leaning on the staff to hide the fact that he was keeping check on his surroundings. He didn't notice the sisters, nor was he inclined to give them much of a thought. Until they approached him, he was unconcerned with them, walking in the front door of the bakery. He smiles widely at the clerk, and looks around, his senses overloaded by pastries for the moment. "Ahh, Good day. Do you have an chocolate cookies, by any chance?" His words drifting over to the clerk as he started filling the monk's usual order, two dozen chocolate chip cookies, wrapped in waxpaper. He grinned, and rubbed his stomach, thinking of the fresh cookies.

Kara: as her and her sister watch the male enter the bakery she smiles showing a mouthful of pointy little teeth she giggles and slides to the edge of the roof peeking over and looking through the top of the nearest window watching him as he places his order she sniffs the air as her mouth waters over the smell of the sweets giggling she swings around and looks at Lucia "keep an eye out ok" her voice soft almost like music as she speaks then grips the edge of the roof and flips herself backwards landing in a crouch she stands up straightening her self up and acting like nothing happens she saunters into the bakery and waits behind the male as the lady prepares his order. having little patience she moves around and looks around at all the goodies as she picks out just the ones she wants she watches carefully waiting for the right moment to strike and snag the males bag of goodies

Geoff bounce on his heels, anxious for his cookies. He leans back against the counter, pretending to hunch over his staff again. He catches notice of the girl walking in the shop, a smile creasing his face. The Aura of Calm and Serenity he exudes, permeates the air, a bell sounding from far away. There was still that distinct sense of peace in the air, his hand diving in his pouch "Ahh, what do we have here? A young lady, perhaps.Interesting." He lifts his head up, the hood falling back to reveal his chubby cheeks and Buddha smile "I do not believe you are from around here. No matter." His hand comes out, holding out the last four cookies from his current stash "You can tell me all about yourself over cookies and Tea. Does that sound good?" He holds out the cookies, in the old piece of waxpaper they came in. His smile gets a bit wider, as the baker brings out his order, the fresh smell of the brown sugar and chocolate filling the air "Splendid!" He drops the payment in a sack on the counter, stuffing the cookies in the leather pouch, one handed. The ornamental staff glows for a second, before going out, the Sutra for Peace highlighted quite well in the dim light. " He turns his attention the girl again, wondering if she would take the cookies "Perhaps you would care to take me up on that offer, by following me to the Temple, hmm?"

He laughs, clutching the staff one handed. "Well now, what kind of Monk would I be if I said no to that smile? Of course She may." He smiles back at the baker, his voice carrying that certain singsong tone he had. "Mind you, don't spend it all in one place." His gaze turns back to the girl and he chuckles "Best be moving along, before I stay here all day. To me," he says, gesturing around, one handed, the firmly gripping his staff "There is no more peaceful place than the bakery. The smells and the calm." He shakes his head, clearing it out of all the thoughts "Nevermind. Shall we?" And with that, he sets off at an elderly man's sedate kind of pace, using his cane as his false footing, hunched over it again as he walked. He looks back, checking to see if the girls are behind him, not realizing he hadn't even left the shops landing yet. Or maybe, he did, and just didn't wanna quit the feeble, old man act. In any case, he leans into the staff again, his face still carrying that smile, the chain whip handle poking him in the side as he did. He gave it no notice as he began walking again, bowing on occasion to those he knew, an aire of joy about him from his latest batch of cookies sitting in his pouch

He walks on, weaving in and out of the crowd, the further he got, the faster he seemed to go. If one were paying attention, they would notice that the faster he moved, the higher his feet came off the ground. He was levitating, the force of the heavens keeping him aloft now. He chuckles, his bowstaff extending a bit as if it was collapsible, his eyes going forward. The pack is still on his belly, the staff now a good eight feet long, having grown two feet while in his hand. He now begins stroking his bowstaff much like a boat oar, pretending to sail through the air, smiling at all the kids watching him. The end of his staff opens, shooting a couple fireworks into the air, The colors explode, painting the slightly darkened sky blue, green, pink and red.His hand opens the pack, a fingernail cutting through the paper on his package. He grasps a dozen cookies, tossing them to the crowd of children gathered. His face alights, the pack now open , as he levitated ten feet above the crowd now. His other hand twists a section of his staff, shooting paper streamers, endowed with healing magic. Written on each streamer, in Greek, Sanskrit, and Tibetan, were the words "Peace be upon you." the words spoken creating a magic spell effect that would clear the worries from someones head. He laughs again, heartily, continuing on his way to the Temple.

The staff stays the same length, leaving no indent in the ground, his feet still a clear ten feet from Terra Firma. He comes upon the paved path to the Temple, tapping the stones lion head twice with the end of his Staff. The eyes shimmer for a second, before resuming their normal, stony luster, his whole body turning in the air. He smiles still, now going backwards in the air " I promise its not much further along. Only up these steps." An aura appears around his head, like a backlit halo, the closer he gets to the Temple. He slowly starts sinking down, lower and lower, until he comes to rest right on front of the door, the turn back to face them down the stairs, slow, and feeble. With a tap of his staff, the door opens, and he stands there, awaiting his new guests

His eyes turn to the sisters, the smile widening more. "please, until we reach my chambers, we must remain quiet. This is a place of worship, after all." He gestures for them to follow him, the staff only making the occasional thumping sound on the tiles. The floor was covered in woven bamboo mats, interlaced in a herringbone pattern. The walls were adorned with relics from his days in the Tibetan mountains, Scrolls of Sutras, and tapestries depicting the wisdom of the Great Buddha, most coming to stop behind an earthernware pot holding a bamboo plant, the occasional bonsaied tree adding little bits of relief. The mats were almost all, in someway or another, occupied, some milling about, others meditating, still others playing a boardgame, all dressed in the open, white linen toga style clothes of the Grecian. He made no eye contact with anyone, occasionally waving to a face or two he caught in his peripheral. His feet were moving to his chambers, the almost hymn like recitations of Sutras, or Buddhist teachings in chant form, reverberating towards the barren rafters not more than ten feet over their heads. The feelings of calm and peace, were palpable in the air, casting an almost reverant feel over the whole building

Kara: nods as her and Lucia follow him through the temple gapping at the beauty and serenity around them. pulling her cloak tighter around her hiding her luminescent glow from the monks in the dim candle light feeling a bit out of place and unsure how they would react if they saw her without her cloak. she jabs her sister in the ribs when she speaks glaring at her and putting her fingers to her lips in a shushing manner. she hurries along to keep up with the monk as they walk to his chambers

Geoff continues on his way to his chambers, the solemn bow of his head not hiding his smile in the least. The cookie pouch swayed with his movements, the staff now not even touching the floor, almost seeming to hover above it. Annamaria sees him, and goes to him, not seeing the guests behind him. Her linen robe is tied at the forearms, leaving everything below her elbows open. Her eyes seek his under the cloth of the hood, looking for reassurance "Is it taken care of, Elder?" His eyes twinkle, a hand on her shoulder , as he speaks, his voice soft and soothing " It was over before I got there, Annamaria. I did however find a good deal on cookies." He laughs, moving his hand around behind himself. "Please, be a dear, and see if there is anything they may need. Then after, please send them to my chambers, for we are to have tea and Cookies." He whispers a prayer for peace to Ann, and looks at the girls now, his voice coming out at almost a whisper "Please. This is a Sanctuary. Feel free to make yourselves comfortable, but please, let the others pray and meditate in peace." With that, he turns, setting his over robe on the coatrack outside his chambers, the glint of the chainwhip and sais, catching little pinpricks of firelight from the candles and sunlight filtering in, though, with the fastly waning sun, the candlelight was becoming more prevalent
