Aphrodite stepped through a doorway in the temple that let the gods come down to the mortal plane. As she did, she saw a few priests and priestesses stop. The platinum blond goddess merely looked back at them with her turquoise eyes, a look of indifference on her flawless face. With a casual wave of her hand, she dismissed their stares.
"Go back to what you were doing" she said dismissively as she began to walk towards the front of the temple. The worshipers hurried off, some still looking over their shoulder at her, unable to part their gaze. Her steps where soft, nothing more than a faint whisper. As she reached the temple's front, which overlooked the city below, she stopped and put a finger to her lips in contemplation.
With a mere thought, she summoned her high priestess. The woman clad in white with brown hair came to her side and bowed her head dropping to one knee.
"Aphrodite... you have called me?" she uttered reverently.
"Yes, yes, enough of that," Aphrodite motioned for her to stand as she spoke with an almost impatience. "There is work to be done." The priestess looked up at her curiously.
"What do you need of me?" she asked.
"Zeus is missing," Aphrodite replied nonchalantly, as though gods go missing all the time. "There are converts to be had." She looked over at the priestess. "I want your girls to work on winning the people over." The priestess looked surprised.
"Zeus is missing?!" she asked. "How could that be?"
"The Titans are loose, and he went to fight them. Maybe he lost. I care not," Aphrodite said sounding slightly annoyed. "Just do as I ask. the sooner the better." The priestess nodded and began to scurry off, leaving Aphrodite to look over the town, contemplating what could be.

Stepping through the door way the tall midnight haired goddess of discord and strife smirked her rubied lips as she watched the prists and pristesses that had stared at the goddess of love just moments before advert their gaze as Eris stepped through the door way from Mount Olympus to the mortal plane.
Eris' icy blue gaze darted around the temple then rested on Aphroditie's slinder figure as she spoke to her mortal slave or as some gods like to call them high pristess'. Eris strode causualy across the marbled floor, her footsteps making no sound as she walked, she was amused at how they all scattered like rats avoiding a cat's hunger. Stopping at the pillar closets to where the other goddess stood Eris leaned against it and listened till the girl scurried off.
As the girl left Eris would come to stand next to Aphroditie and peered out across the land "telling the mortals that our fearless leader is gone....isnt that a dangerous thing? there could be panic and...chaos" her words my have been ones of caution but the tone spoke of how she was slightly amused if not excited. "can it be the lovely goddess of love is vying for more power?" her question didnt really come off as one more of a musing really. "makes one wonder what will come from it all"

Aphrodite turned her head to rest her eyes on the trouble-making goddess and smirked a little herself. She had her doubts that Eris was very concerned that the mortals might get alarmed at the thought of Zeus missing. She let out a short laugh as she turned to look back over the city.
"There is no sense in wasting perfectly good faith or followers," Aphrodite replied. "Besides... I suppose there is still Hera..." She wasn't sure exactly what Hera's stance in the matter was, as Aphrodite knew the queen of the gods often got jealous over her husband's many affairs. She looked back at Eris and donned a more innocent look.
"Besides, I did not tell any aside from my priestess, nor did I tell her to alert anyone else... merely... to gain more followers." She was not about to say she was making any bids for power out loud, at least not yet. All things in time. She then gave a more scrutinizing look to Eris.
"Though I suppose you will no doubt use this is one of your little schemes."

Eris' gaze still wondered over the landscape of the island they all had cut off from the outside world, she still had a smile on her lips, a breeze flowed through her long dark strands of hair. The moment Zeus was said to be missing she had started her plotting and she knew the others would think she was up to no good but she didnt mind
"I have no douts that you will put those lost followers to good use..." Eris had her own plans naturally "And yes there is always the mighty Queen...." She would let her words drop off into silents where she remaind for a moment as if contemplating
she turned her gaze to Aphroditie "Indeed you did not tell her to nor did you say not to but im not here to judge, the mortals should know the severity of his absence" her slinder pale hand moved to the hilt of a jeweld sword at her hip and her fingers begain to drum on the ruby that adorned the tip. she often did that when she was thinking.
Her fingers stopped the taping as Aphroditie spoke and her smile widdened only slightly "my dear i have no idea what you mean, im just as concerned as everyone else is"

Aphrodite gave her a skeptical look as she watched her mannerisms. Reaching up, she casually and absently ran a few fingers delicately through her platinum blond hair, and pulled a few locks off her shoulders. She rolled her eyes a little before looking about to see if any of the temple workers were lurking nearby but saw no one.
"Oh Eris... we all know how much delight you take in your mischief making. If you can mess up a plan or start a war, it is a good day for you," Aphrodite spoke casually. "Is it not?" She then looked over the town again and sighed a bit. The mention of war always made her think of Ares. The problem with being a goddess of love and pleasure like she was was that sometimes it reduced her to practically a lovesick teenage girl. Aphrodite took a deep breath and shook it off.
"Besides... maybe it is time that I get a few more followers, and then they can breed more followers for the others." Yeah... that was definitely not her intention, but whatever. It wouldn't exactly be far fetched with her, she supposed.
"I am sure the other gods would love to have a few more worshipers in their pocket..."

Eris chuckled softly at hearing the love goddess' words, she kept her eyes on the land but saw from the corner of her eyes Aphroditie look around. Eris had no douts that she herself scared off the prists and pristesses, few mortals stayed when she was around and those that did were her loyal followers
"Today has not been a bad day" she spoke clearly but didnt exactly deny nor confirm about how she delighted in mischief. War was her brothers area of expertise but Eris still delighted in it, the chaos and human bloodshed it bought sent chills up her spine...in that oohh so good way
"Its time we all get more followers " she looked back to aphroditie, her eyes one of scepticism, she canted her head to the side "breading more followers huh? your going to stick with that one?" she chuckled looking back to the land and took a step closer to the doorway
"You bread us our followers dear goddess and I'll be sure to scoop them up "

A surge of pride washed over Aphrodite as she looked back at Eris. Or was it that sense of trying to prove she could do something. Whatever it was, she didn't care. She gave Eris a confident look as she squared her shoulders and held her head high.
"If I so desire, I could see to it that every female in the land is with child," she announced. A slight and devious smile formed on her beautiful features. "I can have it done in a night's time if I can get Dionysis in on it. Nothing a little drinking and love can't solve." She watched Eris step closer towards the gate, making note that the goddess was perhaps about to leave, and causing her to ponder her next steps. To follow her back to Olympus or to go on and see what more could be done? Choices, choices.
"I do suppose you could be spared a few of the would-be children to follow you," Aphrodite proclaimed as she turned to look back at the town. "I am sure there will be plenty of brats that would look up to you." Needless to say Aphrodite felt no need to be sweet with her fellow goddess

Eris knew how to play up to the others pride, though she chose not to most of the time. She burshed a few strands of her hair off her pale shoulders as she looked across the land, she had a few plans brewing and knew her next step was on the mortal plane.
"I am well aware of your abilities and i have no douts that you will have ever female all over the males" her tone was a little disgusted, perhaps it was because she thought of most mortals as rodents or that they only have value to do her bidding who knows.... she smiled again as her tone went neutral once more
"how graceous of you to allow me a few of the brats..." she didnt feel the need to be sweet to...well anyone even to her brothers adulterous lover, though Eris didnt feel the need to have a butt load of followers either, everyone falls to chaos and discord at some point in their lives and that is where the goddess thrives
"It will be interesting to see how things play out though" she chuckled as she strode across the threshold to the temple and on to the mortal plane, the forest was her destination

Aphrodite couldn't help but smile deviously at Eris's words. It would definitely be interesting to see how things played out. Now with the king of the gods out of play, and the order he kept amongst them gone, things were sure to get a lot more interesting. She watched Eris go and looked over the town again. Without thinking, she twirled a lock of hair around her finger as she sat in deep thought for a moment or so.
Perhaps a few more followers to start was a good step. Her priestess would help with that, and then there was the other possibility of bringing more followers into the world. A much slower plan, but definitely would up some numbers. Followers were a good thing to have. Once the mortals forgot about the gods, they were pretty much finished. She had heard that was what had happened to some of the gods in other civilizations, but she would be damned if she was going to let faith in her existence and abilities and powers falter. She then took a step towards the town.

From the rafters of the temple a lone raven stands upon its perch with a loud shriek it swoops down flying in front of both Eris and Aphrodite "children" a voice whispers " children playing adult games ..go home before you get hurt@

Aphrodite hesitated as she saw the bird swoop in before her and whisper its discouragement. She wasn't sure if it was even supposed to be mocking or not, but did not care either way. She sneered at the fowl and the laughed. Of all the things she thought of herself, a child was not one of them
"Some could argue that I am older than most. My father was Uranus after all. I am no child." Her expression changed to one of complete confidence as she eyed the animal. "Besides, what so-called games I play are mine to deal with. I care not what any others may say or think."

A small chuckle comes from the birds beak as It lands in front of her "I am well aware of who you are Aphrodite...the king of the underworld knows everyone....eventually" the raven changes, growing into a tall muscular man feathers smoothing out to onyx black skin. His hair flowed down to his shoulders framing a face that would be quite handsome if it was not stuck in a permanent frown. The only part of him that was not some shade of black was his eyes two yellow orbs that gazed at the goddess not from lust; Hades was Eloise to her tricks, but as if he was judging her in some way
" I see you waste no time in capitalizing on the rather unfortunate circumstances" he says his voice a dry monotone

Aphrodite watched as the bird transformed. She had her guesses as to whom the animal could have been. The number of individuals in Crete who could do that trick was pretty slim after all, at least thus far. Watching until he took his final form, she then donned a sweet smile, one that was tainted by ulterior motives and made no effort to hide it. Even her tone of voice turned to a sort of sweet tone with a hint of mockery.
"Oh Hades, I should have known," she replied. "Only you would take the form of a mangy black bird as opposed to a dove or something..." She held that aura of the mean girl that everyone either was dying to be or dying to be with as she kept her mannerisms cool and confident. "What's the matter? Did your brother tell you to babysit us in his absence?" She then frowned slightly. "Sounds like something he would do."
She sighed gently as she shifted her weight, her stance more feminine. She was manipulative by nature. One tended to be when they either made matches or tried to break up couples. "Let's be honest, Hades. Crete needs me. Olympus needs me. If the mortal population drops, I can see to it a whole new generation arises. More workers for their farms, more soldiers for their armies... more followers for us." She smiled confidently. The goddess had no shortage of self-esteem, that was for sure.

He gives a snort and waves his hand dismissively "no one Commands me not even my brother when he was around" it was no secret amongst the Olympians that hades was unhappy with the lot he was given, although no one was there to see it happen the story goes that he and his brothers drew lots to see who would rule what hades drew the short stick and was given the underworld. He was noted to be particullarly bitter about it and rarely visited olympus or earth because of it. "doves? Really Aphrodite such animals are much more suited for you ....pretty to look at an not much else" he looks outside gazing upon the land with a ponderous expression "I simply came to see if my dear family had ripped Crete apart from fighting yet"
he arches a single brow at her words "and you think this makes you fit to lead us?" he shakes his head too much growth can be a bad thing you know ...now I heard you mention more followers to eris..."

Aphrodite could not help herself as she gave a soft laugh, looking over her shoulder at the town below. As far as she was concerned, Crete would stay very much in tact and unified as well. She was not sure she could say that for the other gods. She knew a few of them would tear it apart just for fun.
"I have no designs to see Crete in ruins. I actually desire the opposite. It should flourish," she assured him. "And not everything that is pretty to look at is useless, my jaded friend." She gave him a devious smile before looking around the temple again.
"As far as leading in Zeus's... unfortunate... absence, I guess we'll see. Perhaps we can find someone who doesn't tend to marry people off to people they don't want to be married to," she nearly spat the last part. Aphrodite made no attempt to hide the spite over being forced to marry Hephaestus. "As far as followers... yes. We all know they only make us stronger, and I think it is safe to say there is a surplus in town with your brother gone."
