Fights are inevitable in role play. Whether you have been insulted by the town drunk, an officer in the local army accuses you of stepping on his boots, or one of the gods is hot on your tail.
Here in the forums, we don't have the ability to pick up a controller and play fight each other as though this were a game of Mortal Kombat. We have to role play out the fight. As it stands now, I am putting us all on the honor system that we can fight fairly and agree on an outcome and as such, role play it out.
However, I am also not so naive to believe that disagreements do not happen, and as such, the outcome can be difficult to decide. This is why I have placed the dice button in the posting screen. You will find it on the row of buttons just above the smileys on the far right. When you click it once, it stick in a code in the message that when you actually post will come out as
[dice=6]
The top number shows the number you have rolled, the number underneath indicates how many sides the dice has.
The dice is completely neutral and cannot be changed by anyone, not even myself. If you and whom you are battling with have to refer to the dice, you can both make a post with your dice roll. The one who rolls the highest wins the fight, or even merely gets a hit in. We will give you leeway on what you do with it exactly. If you are still having problems, a GM will be happy to add mediation.
This will help keep everything fair for everyone. If you and your fellow player can role play without having to refer to the dice, that is okay too. It is here if you need it. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with a GM.
Happy Role Playing!
